State Budgetary Healthcare Institution "Kaluga regional clinical emergency care hospital" named after K. N. Shevchenko (Emergency Hospital of Kaluga city) provides round-the-clock emergency medical assistance, as well as elective medical care to the patients over 18 years of age.
The institution includes:
1. The one and only Traumatology and orthopedics center in the region which in turn includes: trauma bay, outpatient traumatology center, outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation department, surgical infection department, traumatology and orthopedics department, and traumatology department.
2. Endosurgery Center with the possibility to perform simultaneous and interdisciplinary operations in the field of surgery, gynecology, urology.
3. Surgical inpatient facility with the following specialized departments: abdominal surgery, vascular surgery, X-ray endovascular surgery, gynecology, urology.
4. The therapeutic profile is represented by cardiology and emergency therapy departments fitted with toxicological and gastroenterological beds.
5. The diagnostic unit is represented by: clinical diagnostic and bacteriological laboratories, endoscopy, ultrasound and roentgen diagnostics (X-ray, SCT, MRI) departments, functional diagnostics room.
6. Surgery departments and anesthesiology and reanimation departments fitted with expert class equipment, meet all modern medicine requirements.
Every year in Emergency Hospital of Kaluga city:
- about 15,000 operations and 1 million different examinations are performed.
- about 100,000 patients applied to the hospital for medical assistance.
The hospital actively cooperates with the leading medical institutions of the country.Emergency Hospital of Kaluga city regularly houses surgery, traumatology, urology, and gynecology masterclasses. It also hosts conferences, as the results of which clinical protocols and patient treatment standards, healthcare delivery algorithms for various diseases are adopted.
The hospital employs more than 135 doctors, 5 of whom hold a "Candidate of Medicine" science degree.
Emergency medical care is provided twenty-four-seven in the emergency rooms of surgical and traumatological units.
Medical consultation for foreign citizens is provided in the paid medical services department. Working hours: Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 20:00.
